It’s common to have the winter blues in the dead of winter.  When I’m feeling down, I like to just imagine that I’m on vacation during my normal life. While that may be hard to do, you can do something a bit different: give yourself some self-care and pampering, pretend you are on vacation, and get a special treat!

My experience:  Without exaggeration, this is by far the BEST foundation I have ever tried!  I hate wearing foundation and always have.  I have never been able to find one that smoothly covered my face without looking fake and cakey an hour later.  Plus I hated the feeling on my skin. 

Then along came Challans De Paris.  I was a skeptic of course because I hate foundation.  But this is the FIRST foundation I have found that truly is lightweight, smoothly covers my skin, and I don’t feel it while I’m wearing it.

These small absolutely amazing – like a combination of lavender, peppermint, and rose.  I don’t know that for sure though because the scents are not listed on the packaging.  They sure do make your shower feel like a special spa pampering moment!

My Experience:  I’m addicted to white noise for sleep.  My mom always had white noise on in my bedroom growing up and now I need it to sleep.  I’ve always used fans.  Fans though can make some annoying vibration sounds and you don’t always want air moving around in your room when it’s winter.  Switching to the sound machine makes it easier and you are guaranteed a steady sound.  Plus you can experiment with brown and pink noise too.

My experience: 

The foam soap was my favorite product in terms of scent.  I’m very happy how my hands smell after using this soap!

The body butter is an intense moisturizer – the type that you’d slather on your hands and wear gloves to bed to get its full benefit!  If you suffer from severe dry skin, this body butter is for you!  It smells like there is cocoa butter in it, but it’s actually shea butter with vanilla oil added to it.  It also has rose and neroli essential oils added to it.  Neroli is honestly a new essential oil for me, and I learned that it comes from orange blossoms, and it helps calm restless minds or stress.  

The body wash also has rose essential oil along with neroli essential oil, which is the perfect combination for hydration.  The rose essential oil really gives the body wash its floral scent, and gives you peace of mind that you are giving your skin extra hydration when using it to clean your skin.

These slippers fit perfectly around your foot!  I can’t explain how good it feels after I put the lavender insoles into the microwave, and then place them back into the slippers and put them on my feet!  Living in the finger lake region of NY means harsh winters.  These are the perfect way to pamper yourself while you keep warm this winter!  These plus either the  Everlasting Comfort Faux Fur Throw Blanket or the Muslin Blanket equal the ultimate warming experience for cold winter nights!

My Experience:  I was sent a set of pumpkin spice-scented soap, body butter, and sugar scrub. If you are a fan of everything pumpkin spice, then you would love this set!  But I also want to point out all of the other colorful collections they have (like Rose, Cashmere, and Galaxy).  I absolutely LOVE the untouched spiral top of the product before you use it.  It makes it difficult to dip your finger in and mess up the design.  I was hesitant, but I finally did so I could try the foaming soap.  It was very soft and made my hands feel clean, leaving a lingering scent of pumpkin pie!  I want to try all of the scents!  This is a fun company with colorful products you will love!  These make for great stocking stuffers – or just a nice gift for a friend or co-worker.  It’s unique and useful, and will smell amazing!

My experience:  Magnolia Violet was by far my favorite, with Sugar Berry coming in a close second.  They are pretty much opposites though when it comes to scent.  Magnolia Violet has strong floral tones and is more earthy.  Sugar berry is quite sweet smelling, but just as enjoyable.  Good Chemistry offers many scents that aren’t even in this sample kit.  But if you want to try before you buy a bigger bottle, I highly recommend this!
