Here is a very frugal toddler activity that involves using body wash and glitter glue. And it’s NOT messy!!
Awhile back I had a bunch of coupons for free body wash. I decided to combine the body wash with some glitter glue from the dollar store and discovered an awesome entertainment tool for my toddler that cost me just $1!
Since this combo is contained in a zip lock gallon sized bag – it also means NO MESS!!! (Can I get some applause on that one?!)
Materials needed to make Toddler Activity: Sensory Bag Using Glitter Glue and Body Wash:
- Gallon size zip lock plastic bag
- Glitter Glue – you can get a pack of 10 for $1 at the Dollar Tree
- Body Wash (or dish soap or shampoo – whatever liquid soap you have on hand)
Instructions:
Pour about a cup of body wash into the zip lock bag. Have your toddler choose some colors and either you assist them in squirting the glitter glue into the bag, or you go ahead and do it.
Then be sure that the bag is completely zipped closed (or then there will be a giant mess!). I taped the bag down on top of white paper on our kitchen table.
The white background made it easier for my daughter to see the glitter sparkle and see the color mixing and bubble making that was taking place.
This kept her busy for a good 20 minutes without interruption. For a mother of a 2 year old – those 20 minutes are very precious. 🙂
