Update as of 6/16/15:  Interval pinning allows you to schedule the same image to multiple boards at staggered intervals, so you don’t flood your feed with duplicate content. To get started, create a draft like you normally would, select the boards you want to pin to, and click on the “Use Interval” button.

On a typical day, I will go through my own content a schedule about 20 pins from my own content that I would like pinned in group boards.

You can also schedule this so you don’t have to do this daily – you can schedule out a week, a month, even 6 months if you want!

The times that these are pinned is based on the Tailwind analytics telling me the best times for me to be pinning to get the most views of my content.

Then I’ll head over to Pinterest, and find other awesome content from other pinners.  I’ve read that we need to be pinning a minimum of 50% of other’s content compared to our own.

You can use a Tailwind Chrome Extension, and click on an image, and schedule it to be pinned.  So I’ll go through and find awesome content for my boards, and schedule that to be shared that day as well.

Then I like to hit the “Shuffle Queue” so that my blog content gets mixed with with other pins.

I don’t want to bore or annoy my followers with 3 pins in a row of my content that they may have seen already and hopefully recently pinned it.

You can then track the success of these pins in the Pin Inspector section (which you will find on the bottom left hand side of the Tailwind dashboard.)

It tells me my top pins and on what boards they were the most re-pinned.  You can easily schedule a re-pin from there, so it takes no time at all to re-pin already successful content.

There is also a “board insights” page that give you statistics on boards that aren’t doing so great, or group boards that aren’t’ helping you that you should just get out of.

You can also gain valuable information about your followers likes, dislikes, and pinning habits.

This is one area I know I’m currently not using enough is the easy way to interact with those who are pinning my content.  But it is on my to-do list, and it is EASY using Tailwind!
