On a Personal Note…

I haven’t shared too much about my personal life on here because, well, this is a deal shopping blog, not a 100% get to know Maura blog.  But in case you are interested, I wanted to let you know about my story that will be on Fearless Formula Feeder today (8/6/10).  Fearless Formula Feeder is a blog about women and their reasoning behind formula feeding their babies.

I know I’ve mentioned my daughter on here numerous times.  What I haven’t mentioned is my heart breaking decision to formula feed her, along with my battle with post partum depression.  I wrote up part of my story before I even started this blog.  Writing about my trials was theraputic for me, and still is.  So I wanted a place to have it read, in the interest that it might encourage someone else experiencing the same hardships.  And since you are here for deal shopping, this wasn’t the correct place for it.  I found this blog that openly discusses reasons why women might choose (or in my case pretty much forced) into formula feeding.

Before my own experienced, I never thought there was a good reason for a bottle.  I was very critical and judgmental of those who used a bottle and boy was I wrong!  It really stinks sometimes to be humbled like that – but hey, I needed it.  So if you are curious, head over to Fearless Formula Feeder and you can read my story.
