35.5 Weeks Pregnancy Update!

Since I’m about to make a major life change in about a month, I thought I’d give a little update about where I’m at.  🙂

I’m 35.5 weeks pregnant – and yes I’m to the point of counting half weeks now since as you can see in the pic above, my watermelon isn’t getting any smaller, and I’m ready to pop it out!

I’m honestly trying to not really think about the inevitable birth that is on its way.  I do know it has to be better than my first!  I won’t get into every itty bitty detail of the horror story of my first birth, but it did consist of 22 hours of labor, an epidural that didn’t fully work, forcep delivery, 3rd degree tear, blood transfusion, breast feeding attempt that failed miserably, severe post partum depression/anxiety – BUT a HEALTHY BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL!

I’m believing that lightning can’t strike twice and this time around I’m just planning on the last bit again.  🙂

At this point I’m actually feeling pretty good.  No awful back aches. No sciatic nerve pain.  No anxiety.  No constant wondering about what this parenting thing is all about.  I’m just taking this one day at a time and looking forward to holding my little bundle that is currently taking up all of my bladder space.  🙂

I’m officially due June 21st.  I’m planning on keeping up with my blog until I’m at the hospital.  I know I’ll be taking some time off when this baby gets here – but what that looks like, I’m not quite sure yet.  I’m kind of just letting everything go with the flow (which if you knew me well, you’d know that is not the norm of my personality.)  I would love to have everything planned out, know exactly when my normal life routine will be back, and stick with a schedule that all of my blog readers would be able to follow.  But I can’t.

I have a few blog posts planned to be published for the weeks after the baby is born.  I’ll post deals if I’m feeling up to it.  I’ll try and keep you updated on life with a newborn though – and post some cute pics of course.  🙂

I’m hoping to have my blog “back to normal” by August.  I’m also doing some behind the scenes tech work on my blog to make it bigger and better!  I’ll be back into the swing of things in no time – just stick by me and bear with some newborn pics instead of deals for a few weeks come July.  🙂
