Fall is my favorite season to decorate the house, other than Christmas. And I love, love, LOVE getting inspiration on different ways to decorate pumpkins that aren’t just the same old same old boring carved out jack-o-lanterns.
Here is a list of fun and creative, no carve pumpkin decor ideas:
Pumpkin Fall Craft Decoration
Lovey declared recently that we don’t have enough fall decoration, so I told her we could create some new ones together. This accordion pumpkin craft was so cute that it ended up multiplying into a whole pumpkin patch.
This pumpkin craft uses Mod Podge and fabric to turn a gourd into fantastic nautical fall decor! Learn how easy it is to make with this great tutorial.
Fall Decorative Pumpkins
Hi there friends! I’m a little late with my fall decorating this year, but with good reason. See I decided that I wanted to switch up all of my orange pumpkins in favor of more muted tones so I’ve been busy painting pumpkins. Painting lots of pumpkins. I’m pretty happy with my planter full of pumpkins, I hope you like it too.
Rope Wrapped Dollar Store Pumpkin
Today’s project combines two things that I love: Dollar Store pumpkin makeovers and DIY challenges! I have joined with 13 other bloggers to use ROPE to create a fun home decor item. The other participants have some amazing projects too! You can check them out below.
Easy DIY Pumpkin Decorating
This project is very simple; even a young child could do it. It’s actually a great activity for parents to make with children. You don’t need prior crafting or Mod Podge experience to make it look great.

Rustic Wood Pumpkins
I love rustic decor, but shopping for many of these rustic fall pieces in the stores can get pricey. This year we got creative and made these fun rustic fall wooden pumpkins from reclaimed wood, some scrap wood and sticks from the yard.
It does not take a large amount of wood for each pumpkin, so its a great project if you have a few boards laying around (old pallets would be perfect)! These are great since you can use them for Halloween decor (throw a faux crow on top) or in more Harvest themed decor too.
They are very flexible. You can use them to decorate a mantle indoors, or as a table centerpieces, or leave them out on the front porch to add some festive decor to your outdoor space.
Dollar Store Distressed Pumpkins
We’ve had rope and glitter and today is a simple distressed finish. The same finish I’ve shared before. Crackled with wood glue and then distressed with a glaze.
Mini Pumpkin Vases
Are you looking for an easy floral decor project that gets your home fall-ready in a jiffy? You can make a pretty pumpkin vase with this quick tutorial.
Burlap and Twine Dollar Store Pumpkin
With the exception of Tuesday, EVERY DAY this week I am going to share a new way of transforming dollar store pumpkins, so they don’t look like Cheeto-orange styrofoam fake pumpkins. 6 different styles in 6 days.
Wood Slice Dollar Store Pumpkin
Monday I shared my Burlap and Twine Version, and today I’m sharing my Mini Wood Slice Covered Pumpkin. (Yes, those are hundreds of tiny 1/4 inch wide slices of wood!)
Yarn Wrapped Pumpkins
I love the textures that fall brings with it and created some soft and cuddly yarn wrapped pumpkins that will never turn soft, or invite little unwanted creatures into my home.
Glitter Pumpkins – 3 different ways
I love new and creative way to decorate pumpkins – and I especially love it when its on a faux pumpkin that I can use again and again each year. I also am a big fan of glitter, so I did some experimenting with making over some super bright orange Styrofoam pumpkins from the Dollar Tree and transformed them into 3 different styles of Glitter Pumpkins!
Peacock Inspired Teal Pumpkin
The Teal Pumpkin Project is a program designed to raise awareness about children with food allergies and how we can include them in the trick-or-treating fun.
That’s where the teal pumpkin comes in. If you place a teal pumpkin on your front porch, you’re telling trick-or-treaters that you have non-food treats available. These can be anything from bouncy balls, glow sticks or vampire teeth.
Farmhouse Glam Pumpkins
This Farmhouse Glam Fall Centerpiece will cozy up your table for the whole season.

There’s a time between Halloween and Christmas that people in America call Thanksgiving. I call it a precursor for Christmas binging on amazing food, drinks, family and friends.
The Halloween tricks and treats are over and we are deep into fall and moving toward the winter months. I find that I’m always searching for fall decorations for my home and when I made this easy paper pumpkin banner, I knew it needed to shared with my readers.
It works great for Halloween and can be kept on display for Thanksgiving, too!

I got the idea for this metallic polka dot Halloween pumpkin when I came across a white craft pumpkin in the store. At first I was going to make a white pumpkin with gold dots but then I saw this awesome metallic pink and just had to have it!
