One of our Members, Amy P. was telling us yesterday that “FYI, if anyone does any home canning Wegman’s beats EVERYONE’s prices on the supplies by about 30%. Even Big Lots sells them for more.
A 12 pack of half pints is $7.99 at Wegmans but is running close to $15 at Wal-Mart and Target. And a 12 pack of replacement lids is $4-5 bucks elsewhere but it $1.99 at Wegman’s. At the Wegman’s price canning is actually worth it to can.”

Walmart:
8 oz Quilted Jelly Jars, set of 12 for $11.67 – these are smaller jars and cost more than double than at Wegmans!!

Since I’m not big on canning (my hubby wishes I was – maybe someday……) Maybe I should grab some supplies for inspiration! One more reason why Wegmans is my FAVORITE!!
