It’s that time of year when we need to start thinking about Mother’s Day Gifts and what the perfect one will be for mom this year.  If you ask my mom what she’d like to receive as a gift she’ll tell you that she already has everything she needs. My Experience:  I chose the “Risa” color and I LOVE having this mat in front of my sliding glass door.  I have 3 cats that go in and out of that door all day long.  Having this mat has stopped so much dirt from coming into my home.  When I peeled off the last cover (pictured above), it had been on for about 2 weeks.  It’s better to peel it off weekly, but I just forgot last week.  If you take a look at my 2nd picture of when half is peeled off – you can see how much dirt did NOT travel far into my house.  Initially, when it’s at it’s stickiest, my cats avoid walking on it and walk on the black part.   I just simply get a paper towel and wipe off those paw prints, and then peel off a sheet of dirt that didn’t make it to my floors and I love it!

My experience:  I like the flavors but I can’t say I noticed a huge difference with focus.  I also am still recovering from POTS from Covid, so maybe my brain fog stopped me from being able to test this product using a “normal” baseline.  Either way, it is a healthy drink that is better than drinking soda.  It’s also a great alternative to alcholic beverages like alcoholic seltzers!

This is a very light and refreshing herbal chai with a nice coconut kick. If you a bolder flavor, along with some caffeine, add black tea bag while the roobios is steeping.  Because this is loose-leaf tea with higher quality ingredients than the chai tea I buy in tea bags from the grocery store, this one wins as the best flavor.  The prices are very reasonable, making it a no-brainer to try one of their unique flavors today!

My Experience:  This book won’t be published until mid May – but one of the descriptions is that it is “FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS: Perfect for kids, adults, and families, this book has easy-to-follow recipes and everyday ingredients, making it ideal for any skill level and occasion.”  If you’ve been reading here for awhile, you will know that I’m not a fan of cooking.  When I have to, the recipes better be easy and delicious (which is the type of recipes I share on my site).  This cookbook sounds like the perfect combination of both!

My experience:  I was able to try their 2018 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon and their 2022 Rose.  I’m not a huge fan of red wines, but I could drink this Cabernet without my taste buds rejecting it.  The Rose was my favorite and I’d get it again in a heart beat!  The Rose in a 750-milliliter bottle of wine costs $38, and I can taste it!  I’m usually not picky when it comes to wine, and usually buy cheap wines.  When I tasted this higher quality wine, you sure can tell, and paying a bit more makes it worth it!  White is my favorite and I’d love to try their 2020 Hoopes Genny’s Vineyard Chardonnay!

My Experience:  I’ll admit that it’s been a difficult choice of what content I should upload to my video book.  This would be perfect to add part of your wedding ceremony, or birth moments, or birthdays, or graduations (including pictures of kids while they are growing up), or to just send current pictures of the grandkids to grandparents.  So I decided to add some clips of my oldest during her performance in the school musical this year, and my youngest while she was performing for Odessy of the Mind.  Then I did a photo shoot of my girls (age 14 and 10) with some spring flowers in the background.  I’m going to wrap it up and give it to grandma and I know she will be very, very happy with this gift!  The coolest part of this book is that as soon as your open the cover, it immediately starts playing.  It’s a super cool way to display special photos and videos!
