DIY Tile Coasters also make excellent inexpensive homemade gifts!! I made these four tiles for about $4!

Did you paint the sides of the coasters? The ones I have from Lowe’s have ink printed on the sides?
Maura says
No I didn’t paint the sides – the tiles I got were all solid off white.

How do you seal the coaster so you can put a hot drink on it? I am having trouble with that step. If I seal it with an acrylic sealer, it still melts if I put a hot cup on it. Thank you, Nancy
Maura says
If the acrylic you are using is still melting, then I’d try a resin.
