Groupon has a new paperless savings program for restaurants called Groupon+!
Now when you go to a restaurant, you may no longer need to hand them a printed Groupon voucher to save on your meal! The new Groupon+ program allows customers to tie an enrolled credit or debit card to couponless cash-back restaurant deals. More than 1,500 restaurants are on board to offer Groupon+ customers up to 30 percent cash back on their purchases. You just need to click “claim” on any Groupon+ deal before going to the restaurant. Then when you pay for your meal, you will get your cash back on your credit card statement.
No need to bring in a paper that your printed from the Groupon site. No need to show a coupon code that is on your phone. The cash back is given to you automatically when you pay for your meal! You will get a notification on your phone on how much you should see as cash back on your credit card statement.
Groupon recently polled their customers and also learned that the latest dating trends revealed that nearly 80 percent of people would use a discount on a date. But of the 20% who said they didn’t want to use one, almost half would change their mind if they could use a coupon discreetly. Not only is this a discreet way to save, it is also way easier for everyone because there is not an additional step to take to get the savings!
There are no hidden fees when you apply a credit card to your Groupon+ account. You can also earn savings every time you visit a participating restautant without having to re-claim the deal.
For example, if you are in New York, NY, then you can search for Food & Drink deals on Groupon.com. When you are there, click the check box on the left that will search for just Groupon+ restaurant deals in your area. (There are 23 major cities so far that have Groupon+ participating restaurants listed) Some deals you can also claim that will get you up to 30% cash back! So head over there and click to claim now on your favorite places now so that you know the savings are yours when you stop in!
