I’m not a fan of spring cleaning – or any deep cleaning for that matter. But spring is in the air, and the dust bunnies under my couch are reproducing at such a rapid rate that I need to get it under control.
I figured if I write about it to you, it will motivate me to take care of my own messes.
Here are a few EASY and CHEAP and GREEN Spring cleaning tips that can hopefully help us all be a bit more motivated for spring cleaning.
Let’s start with this post on Frugal Living with Homemade Cleaning Products. In it is 15 different natural homemade cleaning products that you can make for your kitchen, bathroom, and everything else. These are mostly using items like borax, vinegar, baking soda, etc.
One that is not on that list though is using baking soda and water to clean your oven. This is all I use to clean my oven. I’ve never used any of the harsh oven cleaning chemical products.
The above picture shows you just how gross my oven door was. All I did to clean it was sprinkle on some baking soda. I sprayed it with some water, and a bit of lemon juice and I let it sit for about 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, its pretty easy to scrub off and wipe away the cooked on grime!! No harsh oven cleaners needed!!
That’s pretty shiny for just baking soda and a little bit of lemon juice!
