I’m assuming your eyes perked up when you saw “cheap Halloween costumes”.

I mean your kid wears it once just for fun and you don’t want to spend a fortune for a one-time event. Sometimes it hangs around for the “dress-up” bin. But otherwise, our kids wear it for maybe a cute costume parade, or just to snag some free candy. Now don’t get me wrong, I like seeing my kids dressed up all cute as much as the next guy – I just don’t want to spend a fortune doing so.

Homemade costumes are the best way to be frugal when it comes to Halloween costumes. (check out the one I did here a few years back of a caterpillar that matched a store-bought butterfly costume)   But for those who aren’t crafty or just don’t have the time to put forth that creative effort – then here is a list of costumes I found on Amazon for less than $20.
