Fall is my favorite season, and my second favorite time of the year to decorate (other than Christmas.) Of course, I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg to spruce up my home to reflect the season, so I found some great decor items over on Amazon – all for under $20! When should you start decorating for fall?
I live in upstate NY and our leaves start falling off of trees as early as mid August. The nights get cooler and the feeling of fall starts to show up just a bit. But I like to hang on to summer as long as possible and don’t usually start putting up my fall decorations until my kids are back to school which is the week after labor day in September.
How do you decorate for fall on a budget?
You don’t have to spend a fortune to bring a little bit of fall into your home. One easy way is to grow your own pumpkins! We put our pumpkins in our compost pile each year and wait for pumpkins to grow out of that each year! If you don’t have the ability to grow your own pumpkins, well then check out some of the fall decorations I have listed below that are all under $20. Don’t spend $100’s on decorating for fall – just grab a few items to purchase to spruce up a room. Otherwise, go outside and see what kind of nature you can bring in – like colorful leaves, pinecones, and acorns – or as mentioned above, your own pumpkins.
How do I make my house cozy for fall?
One of my favorite ways is to light a pumpkin spice scented candle! You’ll find a couple of examples in the list below. Another way is to have many throw blankets on your furniture for you to easily cozy up with! Now go ahead and do some browsing and shopping to get inspiration for this year’s decorations for fall.
