When is the last time you had a spa day at home? It’s probably been while, huh?? Mother’s and women in general, are so busy taking care of others most of the time, that we often neglect our own needs. Some of us will get so burned out and exhausted that we usually have to get the flu before we will take a break. (Maybe I’m just speaking for myself, but I know I’m not alone.)
If you are a stay-at-home mom and your family is living on one income, chances are you aren’t going to splurge on yourself for a day at the spa. Again, maybe I’m just speaking for myself, but I know for sure there are a whole lot more moms who want a spa day than actually get one!
So here are some ideas to have a spa day at home that will be cheaper than spending $100’s at a spa. These are natural products that you will be able to use long term – not just one day. I recommend inviting over some girl friends to make and use these together. Make extra for gifts (that will take away the guilt factor of taking some time for yourself!)
Some of these are guest posts I have written over at LivingWellMom.com. Her blog is filled with awesome recipes and DIY’s to live a more natural lifestyle.
I recently did my own pedicure at home with a PediSpin. No, I didn’t just paint my toenails – I did the whole foot soak, callus removing, moisturizing process on my feet and it was awesome!
Check out what I used over here ——-> Spin for Perfect Skin
I also have a SWEET Discount Code for you for 70% off the Pedi-spin!! Just type in maurapedi at checkout.
Gross!!! I can’t even believe I took a picture of my nasty toe callus and posted it on the internet!!!!! But – the after shot makes up for it. 🙂 No photoshop used on these images! The Pedi-Spin easily removed my toe callus. I used the Callus Shaver attachment and it sanded the callus right off! Boy do my feet look and feel better!
I remember once when I did got and get a pedicure done, the lady doing it was like, you are a runner aren’t you? I was like yeah, why? Oh I can just tell by this giant callus. LOL! But the benefits of running on the rest of my body are great. If I have to use my Pedi-Spin to take care of that callus from time to time, I’m fine with that. 🙂
Now if you are reading this and actually making any of these products for your own spa day at home is just a pipe dream, then I have a great place where you can buy natural and organic beauty products. Go to Good Earth Beauty and see all of the beauty care they have available. I love that they have sample sizes to try before you spend a lot on an organic/natural product. You can use that promo code in the picture as well to save 10% – just type in GEB10 at checkout! Plus shipping is always FREE! I’m personally in love with the scent of the Japenese Cherry Blossom Shampoo and Conditioner!!!
