If you are looking for unique Christmas gift ideas this year, then check this one out.
I’m going to show you a money origami flowers that makes 6 petal flowers. These look so cute and creative – and you can stick them in a Poinsettia plant as a “bonus” monetary gift to the poinsettia plant.
This is a wonderful housewarming gift for a Christmas party – or even a great one for a White Elephant or Yankee Swap party.
Materials Needed:
- – (3) one dollar bills for each flower you want to make
- -Wired Floral Picks
- -Floral Tape
Fold the bill length wise in half.
Open the bill back up and fold over the ends so that the ONE is showing. These will become the petal tips.
After the ends are folded over, now fold in the corners make a point at the end of the petals.
Then fold the flat bottom up to the middle. Do this on both sides. When you are done with this, then you are done with your first set of 2 petals.
Do the same thing 2 more times to make a total of 3, which will make a 6 petal flower.
Now take your 3 folded dollar bills and stack them on top of each other.
Take your floral pick and start wrapping the wire around the middle of the folded dollar bills.
When the wire is wrapped, take some floral tape and wrap that around the wire to secure it. The tape is also useful as it covers the wire so the end isn’t poking out.
Your petals will be flat at first, so you will need to open them up and adjust your petals so that they look symmetrical and neat. It will take a bit of adjusting to mess with them and make them look their best.
This is what the back looks like when you are done.
Place a few of these in a poinsettia plant – they blend in nicely and are an added bonus to a Christmas gift!! 🙂

This is a great idea for the kids. I’m making a centerpiece with these in it and will let them pick whichever flower they want.
