Did you get your mailer coupons in the mail last week? I did and I’m loving it that they are for Family pack items. When you buy items in bulk, (especially things like toilet paper, facial tissue, and paper towels.) it is always cheaper than in smaller amounts. Add a coupon to that, and it could mean big savings!
These days I pretty much just shop at Wegmans and Amazon. Occasionally I’ll still hit up a drug store, Walmart or Target for a good deal, but not as often as I used to. It’s just too time consuming for me now. So I focus on deals on Wegmans, and I use my Amazon Prime membership to its fullest (and hear the UPS truck drive up my driveway multiple times a week!)
For a long time, toilet paper was one item that I purchased on Amazon because of the subscribe & save option, and at the time I thought it was the cheapest. The Wegmans has been putting out these family pack coupons, so I’ve gotten the family pack of toilet paper at Wegmans the last couple of months. But I didn’t truly know if that was the best deal. So I sat down today to do some price comparisons – and thought I’d share what I found with you!
Wegmans Family Pack of Toilet Paper, 30 rolls – 15.99. There is a $2.00 coupon in the home mailer booklet making them $13.99. That is $0.46 per roll with 400 sheets per roll.
Scott Naturals on Amazon = $55.89 for 32 Mega rolls. They say 32 mega rolls is equal to 96 regular rolls, making these $0.58 per “regular'” roll).
Angel Soft 48 Double Rolls Bath Tissue – for $21.29 for 48 rolls = $0.44 per roll, BUT it’s 246 sheets per roll. I used to get Angel Soft on Amazon through my subscribe and save account – and we would go thru these rolls all the time. I felt like I was changing them like every other day!
Now I know I didn’t compare every single brand of toilet paper that there is on Amazon, but with a quick check of some popular brands, the clear winner is to get your toilet paper right now at Wegmans!
What about you – where do you stock up on TP? Anyone shop at Sam’s club or BJ’s? If so, what is the price per roll you spend? I want to hear if anyone finds a better deal! Why waste money on something we literally flush down the toilet!
