Homemade Christmas Decorations: Scrabble Tile Christmas Magnet Boards
My husband has a rule in our house – that no Christmas movies are allowed to be watched, and no Christmas decorations are allowed to be put up, until he has consumed his very last bite of Thanksgiving dinner.
He’s the only one in this house who follows that rule. 😉
I’m a Christmas nut. I inherited it from my mother and I plan to pass this lovely gene onto my children. My daughters already have their kids tree up in their room (based on their request, not mine!). Three Christmas movies on Netflix have already been watched. I am very much looking forward to decorating my house for the most wonderful time of the year. As of late, I’m having fun creating my own Christmas decorations, ranging from a Ribbon Christmas Card Display, Tizzy Yarn Christmas Trees, or this Chirstmas wreath. I have also created a homemade Christmas decoration in the form of these Scrabble Tile Christmas Magnet Boards. If you want to learn how to make these yourself – then check out this tutorial on how to make your own homemade DIY magnet boards!
These are a holiday spin-off other inspirational magnet boards that I have for sale over in my Handmade Amazon shop. This year I created a line of Christmas inspired magnet boards, all using scrabble tiles. Each scrabble tile has a rare earth magnet attached to it, so that it will attach to the circular tin magnetic board.
This “Merry Christmas” Scrabble tile magnet board pictured above is actually for sale over on my Handmade Amazon shop for less than $20 shipped!
I have a few different varieties to choose from – each with both scrabble time magnets and other seasonal magnets such as a Christmas tree and glitter glass magnet, representing the star. Oh Holy Night is my favorite Christmas carol and I love seeing the title of this using scrabble tiles!
Farmhouse and rustic decor is all the rage right now – and these magnet boards fit right into that trendy theme! The wood of the scrabble tiles and in this case the wooden snow flakes hanging above a milk paint distressed mantel would look just lovely!
Peace, Love, Joy. Three of my favorite words to ponder and reflect on this time of year. Since these are magnet letters, you can easily move them around the board. You can use them to hold up pictures! Maybe you could even attach your favorite Christmas card to one of these boards.
And if you have anyone with a sense of humor in your home, you are bound to see “CEEPA, VOLE, YOJ” before the season ends. 😉
Let us celebrate Christmas together with these homemade Christmas decorations. And if you don’t want to make this yourself, that’s ok! I’ve got you covered! There are multiple styles and Christmas phrases available for sale. Take a look and shop OVER HERE! Again – all of these are for less than $20, including shipping!
