Who has been to Darien Lake yet this year? I went last weekend with my husband, 6 year old and one of her friends. We had a blast!
If you want to get your season passes yet, and haven’t – good news! They have extended the Season Pass Deal through July 3rd! Paying for itself in just two visits, Darien Lake’s 2016 season pass is a greater value than ever before!
If you don’t want season passes and you just want tickets for one day, did you know that it’s cheaper to buy and print online than it is at the gate! Save up to $8 by printing your tickets at home and bringing them to the gate.
It was almost 90º and sunny the day we went – so the water park was full!!!! The lines were long for the water rides, but worth the wait in my opinion. The tube water rides are my favorite!
They have the new Rip Curl water ride up and running this year too! Take a look at this short video to see what it is all about. Because you need to be at least 42″ tall to ride, and we had 2 littles with us, we didn’t try this one yet. But it looks like a blast!
It had been close to 10 years since the last time I had gone. This was the first time as a parent going – and it was so much fun watching the kids have fun! After we spend some time in the water park, we headed back out to try some of the rest of the rides. The kiddos were in awe of the Giant Wheel. The log ride was probably my favorite ride that we could go on with shorter people. On a Sunday evening, the lines were not super long for the rides appropriate for little kids – so we could hit a bunch in just a couple of hours.
I’m a huge fan of the Kingdom Bound Festival that is at Darien Lake each year. If you haven’t been, it is a 4 day event filled with Christian music, speakers, and of course all of the fun rides!
Darien Lake’s wide variety of entertainment has made it “destination fun” since 1964. Located 45 minutes from Niagara Falls between Buffalo and Rochester, N.Y., today the park boasts more than 50 rides, including six world-class roller coasters; dozens of family-friendly rides; the region’s largest water park complete with wave pool; a 20,000-seat performing arts center, operated by Live Nation; and world-class in-park entertainment.
