The Best Fast Food For Vegetarian & Gluten Free Diets + $25 Gift Card Giveaway!

I don’t know about your family, but in my family, we have very diverse taste buds in terms of our favorites.  I personally prefer a vegetarian diet, with meals loaded with fresh veggies and cheese.  My husband on the other hand is a meat and potatoes guy who loves spicey food.  My oldest daughter is also a meat and potatoes kind of girl who will eat beef any day of the week (which in my opinion is my worst nightmare.)  My 4 year old is in the middle of being the most picky eater possible, but always says yes to cheese and milk.

When it comes time for dinner at our house, someone is always disappointed since no mom has time to create meals based on these preferences.

But when we want to go out to eat, we want to find a place that will please everyone since we get to choose our own meals.  Want to know the perfect place that fits our families preferences??  MOE’S Southwest Grill!!  This is the place that fits the bill for everyone!  Even if we had someone in our family who wanted a low carb, low dairy, or even gluten free diet, this would be the place for them too!

Each time you enter a Moe’s restaurant, you are always greeted by a hearty “Welcome to Moe’s!” from one of the employees.  You get to choose your favorite toppings for your favorite Mexican style favorites.  I love it that I can order tofu, while my beef loving daughter can order up a taco filled with it.  My husband who’s favorite food is Mexican, can top his high with onions and hot salsa!  And my dairy loving daughter??  She’s all about the queso!

Not only are the selections awesome for any diet preference, it’s also fresh and healthy!  You may have eaten a delicious chicken burrito from Moe’s before, but did you know that their chicken is grilled each hour? When you dipped your chip did you realize that the guacamole and salsa were made fresh that morning, every morning?  Moe’s offers 20+ fresh and flavorful ingredients to customize any meal.  They also take great pride in preparing fresh key ingredients in-house daily to provide quality you can count on.  Moe’s is restoring our belief that dining out doesn’t have to break the bank and more importantly can be quality and delicious.

This is a picture of the Close Talker salad I ordered (with tofu).  That doesn’t’ look like the stereotypical fast food to me!  It’s easy when it comes to freshening up mealtime with Moe’s – it’s fast, fresh, and delicious!  I’m also a personal fan of cilantro – and the fresh cilantro in the pico de gallo was just perfect in this salad!

Each meal comes with a hearty portion of corn chips that are flash fried daily.  I used one to scoop up the very last bite of my salad.  If you want even more chips than they give you, you can actually get an unlimited supply!  Plus there is their famous salsa bar where you can choose your spice level to dip your chips in!  Both the salsas and guacamole are all prepared from scratch, that’s lots of chopping, dicing, and mixing daily!

Our family had a wonderful meal out.  It is a kid friendly atmosphere and they play classic rock in the background.  My husband was happy when we heard some Johnny Cash come through the sound system.  Next time we visit, we will have to go on a Tuesday when kids eat free!  Every Moe’s in locally owned and operated and if you’ve never visited one before, then it’s time to  find a Moe’s near you and enjoy dinner out as much as we did!

The last fun fact I want to share with you about Moe’s is about the origin of its name.  Ever wondered what M.O.E’s stands for? It means Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers. Moe’s has a little something for everybody!

I just love this picture!  My daughter to say the least loved her tacos!!!!

I have a $25 Moe’s Gift Card that I’m giving away to one lucky winner!  This giveaway ends 8/3/17.  I’ll announce the winner on 8/4/17.  Fill out the rafflecopter form below to enter.

  1. I love getting a Joey Jr. with chicken…or a full-on Joey if I’m hungry! One thing to note, though, in regards to the gluten-free thing–their chips are NOT gluten-free. Unfortunately they fry them in the same oil as their flour tortilla shells, so the oil contaminates the chips. Yes, you can get a bowl or salad and it’s gluten-free, but what is a trip to Moe’s without CHIPS?! At least, that’s my Celiac son’s take on it!

    • Good to know Amy about the chips not being gluten free. Thanks for sharing that info! Those details sure do matter when someone truly has Celiacs and not just a gluten free preference!!

  2. I just moved to an area that has a Moe’s Southwest grill. I haven’t had a chance to eat there yet, But your pics make it look delicious!

  3. Chicken quesadilla is my absolute favorite but honestly I’m just obsessed with Mexican food in general. It’s ALL delicious.

  4. I’ve never had a chance to eat at Moe’s but one is opening very soon here and I can’t wait to try it.

  5. I’ve never tried Moe’s yet but I’m not sure what I would try first because it all sounds delicious!

  6. I love to get their Vegetarian stack (they used to call it Julia Gulia, but I think they’ve recently changed all their food names!). I like it with rice & black beans & veggies & of course their queso!

  7. I really love getting the Homewrecker! Anything with the queso is also good! I also love a fully loaded taco with beef.

  8. I honestly have never been there but the chicken club quesadilla sounds delicious. Now I am going to have to try it.

  9. I have actually never eaten at Moe’s despite the fact that there is one within walking distance of my job location. Winning this would give me a good reason to finally try them.
