This past weekend we somehow managed to get our Christmas card pictures done with no issues. It’s always iffy when dealing with a 3 year old! I wasn’t sure how many shots we’d have to take and how much bribing we’d have to do – but it went way more smoothly than I ever thought it would!!!
Now I’m all ready to make my Christmas card purchase! I think this is the earliest I’ve ever been ready for this Christmas tradition! This year I went with Basic Invites to design my Christmas cards.
Basic Invites is currently offering a 30% off discount for all holiday cards with the promo code: HOLI30. If you know what picture you want to use, then jump on ordering your cards now! I’m going to show you how to design and order your cards below!
I also have a sweet giveaway offer from Basic Invites – 25 FREE cards of your choice!!!
There are 265 holiday designs available to choose from, so there are obviously plenty of options. I did browse through them all, and while a tough choice, I narrowed it down to this one:
After I chose my style, I went ahead and created an official account with Basic Invites. Keep in mind that when you are looking at styles, you can make changes on colors that will match your photo!
When you have your account set up, you can then click “photos” on the very top of the page. You can then choose where you want to upload your photo from. Once your photo is saved, you will be able to choose it once you start editing your design
I changed the colors a bit to better match with the colors we were wearing. Last step is to just change out the text so that it says the correct family name. Oddly enough though, my husbands name was almost Spencer – and my mother-in-law likes to call him that from time to time. 😉
Click on the names on the right to edit them. I added our family names. The text in the card needed to be moved down, so you can simply just drag and drop it to where it looks good.
I changed the text to our last name, and then clicked on “select paper” under options. I like glossy a bit better than matte, so I chose the smooth coated. There are other options for a bit more per card. You can also choose a different shape other than traditional rectangle for a slight additional cost per card.
The amount of cards you order determines your cost per card. Where it says the card price “as low as” – that price is if you order 500+ cards. I only want 50, so my price is $1.85 per card.
With the 30% off discount promo code, my price drops to $71.75 total for 50 cards.
But if you win the giveaway – you get 25 cards for FREE! If you need more than 25 cards, you can order more. Just be sure to use that 30% off promo code on the second order. 😉
Now it’s time to enter the giveaway for your chance to save $25 off of your Christmas card order this year with Basic Invites! Fill out the rafflecopter form below to enter.
