One of the summer projects around the house this year was to replace our deck. When we bought this house, it had numerous cosmetic issues because of poor upkeep that led to a lot of things that needed to be repaired/fixed/replaced. We got our house for a steal, so we cant’ complain. We knew we’d have lots of fixing up to do. It was built in 1997 with 4 bedrooms and 4 acres so we couldn’t pass it up! One of those projects that can now be crossed off the list is fixing the deck. The boards were initially put on wrong, and with the wrong screws that were rusting and popping, causing the boards to lift up so it not only looked horrible, it flat out became a safety hazard.
Now that it is finished, I’ve been searching around for deals for new outdoor furniture to add to the nice, new deck. I’m not sure if I will buy right away, because I of course am looking for the perfect deal. Anyone know the best time/place to get a nice table and set of chairs that we could for outdoor meal time ?
